One of the most well known winter festivities has kicked off in beautiful Durango, Colorado. This year it's a "Black Tie Affair" and the streets are lined with Durango's best dressed.

My favorite even is the polar plunge in which contestants must dive into freezing cold waters for a prize. There are a bunch of dance parties, contests, and family friendly events all week long.
