2018 Quarter Report for Durango and my thoughts...

The Durango Area Association of Realtors (DAAR) released their numbers for the last quarter of 2018. The results show the following for median sales prices. 

Durango - $586,288

La Plata County Combined- $515,329.00

Durango Mountain Area- $1,279,700.00

Land in Durango - $195,400.00

On a personal level from an experienced agent in the luxury market, I am so excited for the 2019 year. Our office has advanced our personal  technology with measures that our in house agents are able to achieve, that other offices simply cannot duplicate either with financial constraints, or brand parameters,  with average analytics in the upwards of 12,000 impressions for each 6 day campaigns we run we know we will not be outspent in marketing measures. 

 

Early predictions for the 2019 market place is that low inventory, lower unemployment rate, and a steady increase of demand will shape up to make 2019 a good year for the marketplace.  This means that if you are planning on buying or selling it's a good idea to meet with one of the BHHS Western Co properties- Durango team members to begin your real estate advisor journey sooner than later, to make sure you have enough time to fully prepare. 

 

Although some listings are going to the FSBO platforms, national results show that less than 1% of these transactions account for the full sphere of real estate purchases and sales for 2018. This means that if this is the route you have thought about taking, I strongly disagree.
